Educational Qualification

  • Constable –Matriculation or 10th Pass
  • Head Constable (Operator) – Matric or equivalent plus two years ITI certificate in Radio and TV/ Electronics or Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board of Education.
  • Head Constable (Fitter) – Matric or equivalent plus two years ITI certificate in engine/fitter/Diesel Mechanic/Automobile/Motor Mechanic from an Institution recognized by State/Central Government or equivalent or 10+2 or Intermediate or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board of Education.

  • Chest – 78 cm without Expansion (83 cm with Expansion)

Tribals/Adivasis having height 162.5 Cms

  • Height – Shall be 162.5 cm
  • Chest – 76cm without Expansion (81 cm with Expansion)

Relaxable: by 5 cm for the candidates belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Leh, Ladakh, Kashmir Valley, Gorkhas, Marathas, Sikkimies and North Eastern States, Height for Tribals/ Adivasis including Mizo and Nagas shall be 162.5 cm. 167.5 cm in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
